The best dressed at the 2016 Oscars.
Thursday, 03 of March of 2016
Last Sunday 28th of February 2016 the most known cinema ceremony took place in Los Angeles, California. A lot of famous celebrities walk around the red carpet and dazzle us with fabulous looks.
If you can count on one thing at the Oscars, it's glitz and glamour. Another thing? No one really wants to take a fashion risk. If you're not going to win an award, you can, at least, win a spot on the next day's best-dressed lists by wearing something pretty.
This year plenty of the looks were perfectly fine, but nothing stole the show, the 2015 red carpet was more impressive.
Charlize Teron
The Mad Max star was truly statuesque in a plunging red Christian Dior gown accessorized with a perfectly-placed diamond pendant.
Lady Gaga
Gaga walked the line between a jumpsuit and full-stop ball gown in a custom creation by her stylist and co-creator Brandon Maxwell. "After I saw the iconic white Brandon Maxwell creation I got inspired by photographers like Helmet Newton and Guy Bourdin," said Gaga's makeup artist Sarah Tanno, who gave the singer a warm monochromatic look.
Rooney Mara
Mara has a formula and she sticks to it for a reason—her white Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown was flawless that’s why she appears the first in the best dress lists of the press. She wears a grey-violet tone on the eyes and a Deep Bordeaux, a brick-red lip that kick up the blue of he eye color.
Jennifer Lawrence
Lingerie-inspired Christian Dior had the Joy star winning for sultriest look of the night (and best blonde bob). She wears a Rouge Dior Lipstick in Miss makeup. Very glamorous and chic!
Cate Blanchett
A completely original confection by Armani Privé had the elegant Blanchett floating down the red carpet and impress us. The nude makeup she wears was trendy on this red carpet.
Saoirse Ronan
Emerald seems to be a hit on the red carpet! The dress is simple, but it fits her body perfectly and look flawless, plus, the back is so good; sexy as hell but not, like, crass.
Alicia Vikander
The belle of the ball, Vikander accepted her award in a dusty yellow ball gown by Louis Vuitton for a total Oscars princess moment. We love it!
Naomi Watts
Naomi's become a stealth ace of the red carpet, culminating in this massively captivating sequined Armani. The dress reads very '80s art gala, very original and smart look.
Jared Leto
In a rare male appearance on this type of lists, Leto's custom ensemble by Gucci's Alessandro Michele, complete with floral pin, was a sartorial moment not to be overlooked.
Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio
One of the best’s moments in the red carpet was when Leonardo Di Caprio –with a Giorgio Armani suit- and his dear friend, Kate Winslet –with a stunning Ralph Lauren dress- pose together. We love this couple!
What was your favorite look of all? Absolutely all the celebrities shine on this red carpet!
